The Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (HSA) is a non-profit charitable organization lead by a volunteer board of directors, with a mandate to present the province’s history and heritage.
Some of the HSA's many projects include: the Provincial Heritage Fairs, and Manning Awards. HSA provides support for the National Historic Sites in this Province through a partnership with Parks Canada.
Projects are funded by revenue generated from sales at the Heritage Shops. This retail operation also supports the mandate by presenting the Province’s culture through a wide variety of local art, craft, gifts, and books.

Guest speakers will explore topics related to the first successful transatlantic cable landing in 1866 and the community of Heart's Content. The conference is part of the extended celebrations marking the 150th Anniversary.
