The Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (HSA) is a
volunteer, non-profit organization with a mandate to present the province's history and heritage.
We can help you find out more about our heritage, or provide you with a wide

Background
The Historic Sites Association was formed in 1981, under the direction of a
volunteer board of community leaders. Working in partnership with
Parks Canada, the HSA
encourages full public enjoyment of Newfoundland culture as presented at the
national historic sites.
The HSA supports its work through the proceeds from twelve Heritage Shops. Eight are located in National Historic
Sites and four other locations across the province. Since 1981, the HSA has invested over $5.7 million in heritage projects.
To fulfill its mandate, the Association is involved in many ongoing
activities, and undertakes special events from time to time.
