Cape Spear Heritage Shop Opens for Season

The Cape Spear Heritage Shop, located on the in the Cape Spear Visitor Centre (halfway between parking lot and history lighthouse), has opened for the 2016 season as of May 13th. Operating hours will be 9:30am to 7:00pm 7 days a week. The Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (HSA) has operated a gift shop at Cape Spear since 1982, providing tourists and residents with souvenirs, collectibles, local art, crafts, books and more.

The Cape Spear Heritage Shop is one of nine Heritage Shops operated across the province by the Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (HSA). The HSA is a non-profit committed to the presentation of Newfoundland and Labrador’s unique culture and heritage. Some of the organization’s projects include: the Manning Awards, the Heritage Fairs, and the Dr. Paul O’Neill Scholarship. Through a close partnership with Parks Canada, HSA has made lasting contributions to our province’s National Historic Sites.
