The Basque Cross (also known as Lauburu) is a traditional symbol of the basque people. In the 16th century, many Basque whalers came to Red Bay, Labrador from different parts of France and Spain to go whaling. Red Bay is now one of the eight National Historic Sites in Newfoundland & Labrador.

The key chain measures at approximately 1 1/2" in diameter.
