Artist Biography:
Tim Rast is a professional archaeologist with a B.Sc in Archaeology and a M.A in Anthropology. Having learned to flintknap while studying in university, Rast began reproducing artifacts in 1997. A perfectionist for details and authenticity, his work can be found in museums, historic sites, and public and private collections all over the world.

Rast’s work recreates ancient artifacts, carefully replicating the workmanship of the originals with the use of ancient style tools. In fact, the reproductions are so incredibly authentic that he is required to sign his initials on each item in order to distinguish it from the original. Elfshot Reproductions is based in St. John’s, NL.
