Artist Biography:
Working as a geologist in northern Canadian locations, Nathaniel Noel has had a unique opportunity to observe animals in their natural habitat. Today, he uses those first-hand observations as a basis for the stone sculptures he creates in his studio of Lawrence Pond, Upper Gullies, Newfoundland.

Noel has been carving for more than twenty years. Over time he has developed a distinctive and very personal approach to his subject matter and to the material in which he works. Noel's work is found in many collections throughout the world including those of Nelson Mandela, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and Her Royal Highness Princess Ann.
